Just back from Savinjska in northern Slovenia - had a weekend walking in the valleys, skipping through meadows, kayaking in river Savinja and staying at this fabulous farmhouse where breakfast included three different types of sausages.

Got caught up in a few thunder storms but weather generally bizarrely hot. Not sure whether to be freaked out by this unusual heat or to enjoy it. In any case it is very cool not to have to wear socks.

Our tomato plants on the balcony looked a little sad after their weekend on the wagon though.

We haven’t written much recently but we have uploaded a few photos, mostly of Easter spent at Galley Head lighthouse near Cork and trip to the Slovene and Croatian Adriatic coast.
